I love dancing, and I'm studying belly dancing. I love chatting and travelling. I love my children and my house, and I maniacally take care my sourdough, the heart of many of my dishes! I love the sea and winter Sundays spent on the couch with the remote in my hand and a good tea. I love the bike and the rider who takes me with him on the motocross rides. I love life! ------------------------------------- Adoro ballare e studio danza del ventre. Adoro chiacchierare e viaggiare.

Patrizia went the extra mile for us, literally! Our evening began with a fabulous private pasta making lesson which I loved, but my husband's escapades with his eggs had her on the floor laughing. She had been forewarned his cooking skills were limited to making ice! She had a family of 5 joining us for dinner, so I learned how to make ravioli and tagliatelle in quantity. Patrizia's relaxed manner and approachable style makes her an exceptional teacher, even with a newbie like my husband. We finally asked him to just take pics and keep his hands clean! I know I will be able to make this pasta at home, as Patrizia's pasta making skills can be duplicated with lots of practice. At times I thought she had three hands working, as she put the pasta through the machine, easily handling over 3 feet of dough. When the other guests arrived, we shared a lovely glass of wine while the gals in the family helped finish up the last of the pasta cutting. Next Patrizia thrilled us with course-after-course of fabulous Italian dishes as we poured more wine and shared travel stories around the table. We ate the ravioli with a lovely butter-sage sauce and the tagliatelle bathed in a wonderfully beefy red sauce. Fabulous! When it came time for dessert, we sipped on some locally produced limoncello and Patrizia's twist on tiramisu, which was an intensely lemony version with no coffee or chocolate in sight. Yes, the ladyfingers were doused in limoncello. Devine! Once Patrizia's cooking duties were finished, she joined us during dessert and talked of everyday life living in Florence and answered all our questions with a smile and infectious enthusiasm. We looked at the time and found it to be well after 11pm. Patrizia called a taxi for the family of 5, which arrived promptly, but she was unable to locate a free taxi so close to midnight for the two of us. After numerous attempts, she grabbed her purse and car keys and told us she'd have us back to our hotel in a jiffy. Like I said, she literally went the extra mile for us! Patrizia is the hostess-with-the-mostest in Florence, without a doubt. While we were able to see everything in Florence we had wanted to, if we go back, it will be to spend more time visiting and learning with our new friend, Patrizia!
OMG, we joined 3 other delightful guests from England & Canada and signed up with Patrizia for one of her cooking classes & dinner - it was the highlight of our 3 week Italian vacation. What an awesome experience that was .. we learned how to make pasta from scratch, various types, tips & tricks to adjust for too much moisture, fillings, fresh sauces etc .. even a delicious pistachio pesto sauce was used. It was such an incredibly fun night for us that we just can’t stop talking about it. From the moment we met we fell in love with her. Such an incredibly loving, caring, delightful, talented person that is is impossible not to enjoy this event. The other 3 guests that were there also added to the amazing experience. We ended up eating the fresh pasta we cooked plus so many other specialties that she prepared for us. 7 different servings altogether with a bit of history to each dish she served us that made for such a great and amazingly delicious feast - Including her over the top cannoli dessert, great wines, we even got her to do a little belly dancing with us. Thank you Patrizia for opening your home to us & for such a memorable experience, we hope to return someday to do this again. If you ever visit the US please let us know. With much love.
