    In this vibrant cooking experience a Grandma will show you around a Barcelona market, then will teach you how to prepare traditional Spanish dishes while teaching you about local culture.

    • Learn how to cook and then enjoy a full, 3-course menu based on Grandma's (or Grandpa's!) recipes
    • Wine is included
    • Explore the Santa Caterina or Boqueria markets on foot, then it's just a short walk back to the cozy kitchen where the cooking class and lunch take place
    • Communal market tour, cooking class and dining for 4 to 8 people

    About your host, Yves: "I'm a social cook focused on cooking experiences. 'Grandma’s Cooking Barcelona' wants to help share cooking traditions, allow Grandmas to have a great time, and generate an extra income. We offer hands-on cooking classes with real Grandmas willing to share their secrets to perfecting traditional Spanish and Catalan cuisine."

    Starter example: Spinaches in the Catalan style, with pine nuts and raisins

    Room temperature salad, with a particular sweet and sour flavour you will never forget.

    Main course example: Stewed Chicken with Crayfish and Cuttlefish

    Delicious Surf&Turf casserole stew, unforgettable taste with local ingredients.
    Learn how to clean and cut cuttlefish

    Dessert example: Honey and fresh Mató Cheese accompanied by dried fruits and Ratafía, our local walnut liquor

    Was fantastic! Great experience! Grandma we had was so energetic,! Fun! Loved showing us what she was doing and had us really helping her prepare the meal. Veronica and her family were so much fun as well! We would definitely do this again

    Super einfache Buchung und Abwicklung. Sehr netter Kontakt und einfache Verständigung. Haben alle benötigten Informationen zeitnah erhalten.Der Abend war sehr herzlich und super angenehm. Das Essen war war einfach klasse! Vielen Vielen Dank an Adela und Verona für diesen unvergesslichen individuellen Abend. Wer Barcelona und seine Essenskultur life erleben will sollte buchen!     Cooking with Abuela, Veronica, and Ponhco was a once-in-a-lifetime treat! I felt almost at home when Abuela was guiding us through the labyrinth of booths in La Boqueria, conversing with each shop owner like she has long-standing relationships with everyone in the city. When cooking, she taught us new techniques and patiently instructed us through prepping one of the best meals I enjoyed in Barcelona! I will recommend this experience to my friends and family, and anyone looking for a meaningful, authentic Barcelona culinary experience!
