Hi, my name is Petra and I live in the old city of Dubrovnik. During my lifetime I have changed homes, but all of them are in Dubrovnik region. As a very small girl I lived on a light house with my grandparents. My grandfather was a light house keeper. I have great memories with him, fishing around the island, growing our own food in garden and keeping light for safe passage of the boats.

I attended primary school in the Old city where I have spent my time playing around the streets and exploring secrets of the town.  My love for cooking came at an early age. I was primarily raised by my grandma, so I have spend a lot of time with her in kitchen. She would let me play and make dough with her. Also she cooked everything on a fire and we had our own goat cheese, olive oil and vine. 

The tradition continued with me. Now I have my own garden at my parents house because I know how important it is today to grow organic food. My father was a fisherman and even today for a hobby he goes fishing. But primary our family business is yachting. We have 3 boats and we do 7 days cruises around Croatian coast. There I met top chefs that taught me many tricks and secrets. I have pick up many recipes but always I come back to my grandma and cousins traditions that brought a smile on many faces. 

In my house in old town, I have one of the last working fireplaces that I gladly use! Fish or meat, the difference can be tasted. For fire, I use olive tree wood which leaves beautiful flavor! If we combine fire, vine, organically grown food and the charm of the old city, we'll have the amazing local experience and a lot of fun!
